Prometheus has a proven capability of assessing the medical needs of any given population, particularly those in a hostile environment, through extensive experience in planning for overseas medical operations and major expeditions to remote areas and for the direct delivery of that care.
Prometheus offers a complete package of medical support including:
- Consultancy (development of medical standard operating procedures and casualty retrieval plans, medical planning and risk assessments).
- Training of personnel (medical and non-medical).
- Clinical governance for medical care provided.
- Provision of specialist medical equipment.
- Provisional supply of high-level medical cover to high risk activities.
- Provision of reach-back facility (the capability to communicate via satellite communications directly with one of our clinicians, for real-time advice).
Prometheus has an extensive capability in medical crisis planning at a local, regional, national and international level. Its consultants have demonstrated a broad practical experience in managing the response to medical crises involving multiple critically injured patients.
Prometheus is able to deploy trained and accredited medical personnel to meet all circumstances from the Emergency Medical Technician to intensive care and specialist Helicopter Emergency Medical Services trained doctors.
All deployed medical staff work within a strictly applied and audited Clinical Governance structure to ensure excellence of service at all levels. Medical personnel have access to a 'reach-back' facility, where communications systems permit; allowing them access to internationally respected clinical experts in a wide variety of fields.
